Bobby Montagne has contributed to the urban renaissance of Washington, DC and the surrounding area by creating award winning residential and mixed-use projects. He created WSD in 1997 as an infill development company with a commitment to work with communities and create well located, highly desirable development projects.

Prior to founding WSD, Mr. Montagne was a development officer for Sunrise Senior Living rolling out the company’s prototype Victorian Mansion throughout the east coast. Prior to Sunrise, he served at the Resolution Trust Corporation after the S&L crisis in the early 1990’s where he sold over $13 billion of real estate and real estate related loans.

Mr. Montagne received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with honors from George Mason University and an MBA from Virginia Tech. Mr. Montagne, his wife Bridget and their two children live in Fairfax, VA.
