Walnut Street Development

Overview
Walnut Street Development is proud to be a part of the development team to revitalize Old Town Fairfax, along with Trammell Crow and Jay Donegan Company. Old Town Village is the first of a series of developments aimed at augmenting the historic roots, creating a pedestrian-friendly, architecturally-pleasing anchor of shops, restaurants, entertainment venues, offices, and residential units. The team is creating a mixed-use community consisting of 120,000 square feet of commercial space, combining prime retail with Class A office space, and approximately 80 well-appointed luxury condominium units in the heart of Fairfax City, an area that retains much of its historic character. Construction in summer, 2006 on the commercial portion of the project, with delivery scheduled for fall, 2007.

The team also coordinated efforts to rebuild the Fairfax City Library, providing a cultural hub to Old Town Fairfax. The new, 45,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility is also under construction on Old Lee Highway and is slated for completion in the fall of 2007 as well. Upon completion, our team will begin demolition of the existing library and begin construction on the residential portion of the community, which will consist of two buildings and approximately 80 condominium units, to be delivered in mid-2009.
